Happiness Capital is a venture capital firm built around a simple idea: empowering entrepreneurs to co-create a happier world.
For a four-day gathering in Japan, bringing together 120 VIP guests, they asked Relish to create an experience that felt considered at every level – something immersive, cohesive, and true to the theme of the event ‘Growing Sustainable Happiness through Omotenashi’. Omotenashi is the Japanese philosophy of wholehearted hospitality, defined by care, anticipation, and generosity without expectation.

We translated this into a living symbol: a pair of hands opens at the centre, welcoming the Happiness mark. Behind it, flowers bloom, quietly expressing growth, warmth, and the continuity Happiness enables. Subtle animation allowed the identity to unfold rather than remain static.
From there, we shaped the entire experience. Every touchpoint was considered – from merchandise and presentations to animated backdrops, digital platforms, and post-event films – designed as one continuous system rather than a collection of parts.

Across the four days, the identity held everything together: calm, deliberate, and expressive. It created space for the content and conversations to land, while reinforcing a shared sense of purpose.
The result was an experience that extended beyond the event itself. Captured and retold through wrap films and highlights, it gave guests a way to revisit moments and carried the spirit of Happiness forward.
